Case Study

Bonnie A.C. Lee Fang Foundation

A New Website to Nurse Their Cause

BACLFF is an organization focused on the future of the nursing profession. It was founded in 2002 to honor the life of Bonnie A.C. Lee Fang, who dedicated her life to helping those in pain. She passed away after a long battle with lung cancer, but her daughters kept her spirit alive by creating this foundation.

As a small nonprofit, BACLFF faced two main challenges. The first was that they had no easy way to raise money online and depended upon third party solutions that weren’t integrated with their website. The second was that they didn’t have enough control over the content of their website to engage with their audience in a way that allowed them to further their mission.

Firespring answered the call by providing BACLFF with a beautiful, responsive website with online tools all in one place:

  • Online fundraising tools and campaign management allowing them to collect donations on one platform and see real-time results.
  • Integrated, secure online donation processing that actually converted some of their check-based supporters to online donors.
  • A comprehensive website with a user-friendly content management system that tells their story and provides the functionality and resources necessary for online visitors.
  • Nonprofit-specific integrations with third party software.
  • Firespring’s email marketing solution that enables them to deploy fundraising campaigns, create awareness of their cause and earn email subscribers with BACLFF-branded templates.

“In the past, our fundraising was really based on events with silent auctions and one-time monetary donations. We made around $10K last year between our golf tournament, silent auction and mailed-in donations. In comparison to this year, though, we are over $11,000 with just the online fundraiser and mailed-in donations, and we still have the rest of the year to continue fundraising.”
