New Year, New Site, New Donors

Tennessee CASA is a statewide organization that serves a network of 31 local CASA programs that recruit, train and supervise volunteers who stand up and speak out for children who have been abused and neglected.

Because local CASA programs must raise a majority of their budget in their community, Tennessee CASA wanted to avoid any fundraising competition with the 31 community-level programs they serve—that was their first challenge. Their second challenge was to find major donors who would support a statewide initiative, as most donors prefer to support local organizations. They needed a website that would expand their reach, process online donations and engage potential new constituents.

A Firespring website with a user-friendly content management system (CMS) and seamless online donation processing system was Tennessee CASA’s ticket to increased engagement, awareness and, ultimately, donations. They especially benefited from:

  • The Springboard: Firespring’s CMS operates with point-and-click simplicity so the Tennessee CASA staff could make content updates and website changes as needed to increase engagement.
  • PaymentSpring: This robust online payment system allows organizations to seamlessly accept donations f rom anyone, anywhere, without losing donors to a third-party site.
  • Recurring monthly donations: Firespring nonprofit websites allow donors to easily set up recurring donations, a feature that Tennessee CASA especially appreciated.

Tennessee CASA saw an uptick in both donors and volunteers, plus they engaged with new visitors they had not been able to reach prior to launching a Firespring website.

“We are so happy with our Firespring website! We cannot express enough how user-friendly it is to update our site and how easy it is to navigate for our users. The training webinars and FAQs often tell us what we need to know . Firespring really understands nonprofits and offers many learning opportunities for communication and fundraising through online media.”
