Payment forms will now display the total amount to be charged to your website visitor's card.

On any form where you have a payment gateway, the total amount to be processed displays above the send button: "Your total payment will be $XYZ."

When you have more than one payment amount field on your form, the amounts are added together. This happens when a specific payment amount field is also in use on a catalog checkout form. Your customer will see the total amount of their payment.

Here are some example combinations: 

  • Multiple payment amount fields for paying multiple invoices on your Make a Payment form
  • Catalog purchase + optional donation amount (if you're supporting a community cause)
  • Payment amount + optional donation amount (if you're supporting a community cause)

The calculation and display happens automatically—there's no setting to turn on or off. However, older designs do not support this feature. If you're using a payment gateway on a form but the total amount is not displaying, it may be time for a design upgrade. Contact your account team for more information.
