There are Google Maps and then there are Google My Maps.
Whether you've created a basic map showing a single location, or a personalized map customized the way you want, the Google Maps content type in your Springboard lets you display it on your website.
Google My Maps is included with a Google Account, just like Sheets, Docs, Sites, etc. and gives you lots of customization options: Import locations from spreadsheets, choose from a variety of styles for location markers, upload custom icons, color code areas, to name just a few.
Ideas:
- Plot multiple locations on one map, add custom icons for the markers. Add an image or video for each location.
- Show an event route (a mini-marathon, fun run, parade). Add markers for landmarks or stops and show distances between certain points.
