Two updates have been made to improve Springboard usability while keeping security in mind.
Remember that the best practices for security include maintaining a private, strong password and to log out of the Springboard when you are finished working.
That said, for your convenience, we've increased the amount of time you can be logged into your Springboard while being idle. Alongside that, we've protected the most sensitive areas with a password prompt to add another layer of security.
Instead of logging you out after a period of inactivity, the Springboard will continue running in the background.
You will notice additional prompts to re-enter your password as you navigate to certain areas of the Springboard. If you share access to a computer with one or more users, this password prompt offers an additional layer of security.
