If you've ever noticed the URL in the browser's address bar when you are viewing a catalog item detail page, you've seen a big long string of letters and numbers, with "get_id=" in the middle. We're making an update to these URLs that will make them shorter and more stable.
We're excited about this improvement, but frankly, it won't be a big deal to you unless you're one of a small number of clients who have posted a direct link to a specific catalog item.
If you are linking directly to a catalog item, you need to know that this update will cause any "get id" URLs currently in place, to not work. When a visitor clicks on a link, they will go to the main catalog instead of getting to the specific item. To fix this, you'll need to update the URL in the places you've published it. Just click to the catalog item on your website and copy the URL in the address bar. Then paste it in your Springboard (or other source location) to replace the existing URL.
