2024 was a big year for the Springboard. This year we introduced innovative new features to help your business thrive! From small updates that kept your site running at peak performance, to bigger updates like the new Page Builder, our team worked hard to make sure your website evolved with your business.
Here’s a recap of the biggest updates made to your Firespring website in 2024:
- Page Builder: We introduced the new drag-and-drop interface, which made it easier to view the different content types and insert them where you want. The Page Builder interface provides you with a more intuitive, modern look and allows you to make all the updates you need with fewer clicks!

- Collection Organization Tools: With the Page Builder, we also introduced a feature that allows you to quickly move items around in collections, and add items directly where you’d like them. Simply click the gear icon next to your collection items to move your items to the top or bottom of your collection, or add a new item directly above or below the item selected.

- Page Preview Tool: The Page Preview tool is a site map that shows exactly where content spaces exist on the different page layouts within your site, so you always know where you’re putting your content. Now you can easily visualize where each content space is located on your website while you’re working! Keep an eye on this space in 2025 as we introduce the new Theme Documentation tool (get a preview of this tool in the article linked below).

- Page Audit Tool: Consider the Page Audit Tool your assistant in the Springboard. It provides you with a real-time list of quick updates you can make to ensure your website meets accessibility standards, and is optimized for search engines. You’ll be able to extend your reach if your website meets basic accessibility standards and is more easily indexed by search engines.

- External Accounts Code Embed: With the new External Accounts Code Embed settings, you can easily integrate different 3rd party tools to gain insights about your site’s traffic, track conversions on your site, and build a more targeted audience. Keep an eye out in 2025 as we gear up to release more features that will help you integrate 3rd party code on your own.

- New Design Themes: We’re spinning out brand new designs all the time to ensure you’ve got options whenever you’re ready for an upgrade! All of our new designs keep accessibility at the forefront, so your website is easily visible for anyone who might visit.

- Resources: As always, our resources are updated constantly to keep up with all of the exciting changes we’re making on the Springboard.
